Welcome to Joy's Favorite Inspirational "View-Changers" for 2011 and still holding for 2012!
As I reflect on the past year and my "changes in view," I thought I'd share those quotes, stories, videos that had the most impact and reminded me of what's most important in my life.

In our ever-growing world of distraction and multi-tasking, it is easy to get lost in the "busyness" of life and forget what is most important. As Leo Babuto quoted Alan Watts (from "The Way of Zen"):
“As muddy water is best cleared by leaving it alone, it could be argued that those who sit quietly and do nothing are making one of the best possible contributions to a world in turmoil.”
Whether you believe our world is in turmoil or not, take notice of how you feel when you stop, pause, with no agenda, other than to just "be."
As 2012 comes to a close, and we prepare our intentions for 2013, I invite you to join me in "just being," and cherishing the present moment, with hope, love, peace, and "joy."

Whether it's learning how and when to let go, living life to its fullest capacity, asking for, and graciously accepting help, the power of prayer, and the challenge of staying present, this book will provide inspiration and hope to anyone who is currently, or has ever dealt with a life-threatening illness. Joy describes the story of her husband's diagnosis with an arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a life-threatening vascular disorder that can cause stroke or death. Providing inspiration through the use of quotes and her own nature photography, Joy invites the reader to be a companion in her journey and to convert downward spiral thinking into that of possibility and hope.
