I would never have completed my first Irongirl Sprint Triathlon in 2012 without the help of my two friends and coaches!

Mentor Coaching:  Supporting you on your ICF Credential Journey!

The picture above is of me running to the finish line at my first Columbia Iron Girl Triathlon.  My two friends, Dana and Vicki, who had already crossed the finish line, found me, and started running me in to the final gate.  They had been my training buddies, 7:30am swimming companions, and cheerleaders who helped me meet this goal.  I NEVER would have done this without their support and kick in the ..... (you know what!).

Program Elements

The mentor coaching program can be done individually or in a combination of individual/ group format.  The advantage of the group format is a lower hourly rate since it is shared with a small cohort (no more than four total coaches), as well as learning from other coaches.  

The mentor coaching program includes:
  • Demonstration of establishing the coaching agreement through contracting
  • Review of ICF coaching competencies and the coaching observation form that is used to assess all recordings and live demonstrations.  This form highlights the 12 core competencies so that your written and verbal feedback reinforces the competencies on which you will be assessed.
  • Virtual format for convenience in scheduling.  This may include the use of webex or Skype if video is desired.
  • Review of the code of ethics and sample test questions for practice and self confidence.
  • Review of at least three recordings of your client coaching sessions with feedback delivered during individual sessions
  • Group mentoring to allow you to learn from others
